Combined cognitive-sensorimotor training on movable ground
The SWING IT project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Innovation Promotion, Innosuisse. In collaboration with ETH Zurich and OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule, the hardware of the Dividat Senso training platform will be extended within this project. The goal of the extension is to make the training platform movable (Senso Swing). Thus, the required neuromuscular resources for training will be significantly increased. Training on the Senso Swing is therefore an adequate stimulation for people with higher balance resources. Furthermore, the Senso Swing is an excellent aid for proprioception training, from which diverse patient groups (e.g. orthopedic and certain neurological patients) can benefit. Within the scope of this research and development project, usability tests as well as a clinical pilot study will be conducted.
