In September 2026, Dividat joined thousands of YMCA leaders, staff and partners in New Orleans for the YMCA General Assembly—an event that brings the Y movement together to connect, learn and explore new ways to strengthen the health and well-being of communities.
Brain health is reshaping the way we think about lifelong wellness. As the focus on brain fitness continues to grow, so does the opportunity to move beyond awareness to actively training it—bringing cognitive and physical wellness together in meaningful, measurable ways.
That momentum was evident at General Assembly. Over several days of demonstrations, conversations and plenty of movement on the Dividat Neuro Gym, we saw growing interest in what it means to intentionally train the brain and body together—and the role evidence-based cognitive-motor training can play throughout life.
Training the Brain and Body Together
In everyday life, thinking and moving rarely happen separately. We take in information, process it, make decisions and respond with movement—a process we refer to as the Cognitive-Motor Chain.
The Dividat Neuro Gym is designed to challenge that connection through dual-tasking, combining cognitive and physical stimuli to engage executive functions such as attention, inhibition and cognitive flexibility while the body is in motion.
Built-in assessments provide objective insights into areas such as reaction time, task switching and postural control, while real-time feedback allows training to progress with the individual.
It's a different way of thinking about wellness: not simply training the brain or the body, but intentionally training how they work together.
Bringing Brain -Body Training Into the Community
The YMCA offers a powerful example of what makes cognitive-motor training so exciting. Few organizations bring so many ages, abilities and wellness goals together under one roof. The Y already provides the programs, professionals and spaces that help people build healthier lives—and cognitive-motor training adds another dimension to that experience.
Our partnership with the YMCA of Metro Denver is just one example. During an eight-week pilot with participants from its Parkinson's and Balance and Falls Prevention programs, members incorporated the Dividat Neuro Gym into their existing YMCA routines. Participants exceeded expected participation by 14% and demonstrated improvements in areas including reaction time, cognitive function and motor control.
The pilot also explored a bigger question: how could brain-body training benefit an even broader range of YMCA members? It's a question with relevance well beyond the Y.
Whether the setting is community wellness, senior living, healthcare, rehabilitation, fitness or performance, the opportunity is the same: to make brain health a more intentional part of how we support overall health and well-being.
A Brain-Health Destination at General Assembly
A shared commitment to advancing brain fitness is why we were thrilled to align with SMARTfit at General Assembly, creating a dedicated brain-health destination on the show floor.
Together, we helped bring greater visibility to cognitive-motor training and encouraged attendees to think differently about what brain health can look like as part of a broader wellness experience.
Those conversations reinforced something we strongly believe: brain health matters throughout life, across different goals, abilities and wellness environments.
Just as we intentionally train strength, endurance, balance and mobility, we should bring that same intention to training the connection between thinking and moving.
Think. Move. Thrive.
As brain fitness continues to reshape the wellness landscape, we have an opportunity to think differently about what it means to train for lifelong health.
The future of wellness isn't simply about training how we move or how we think. It's about intentionally training the connection between the two.
And that's a future we're excited to help build.
